EXPEDITIONS
Go far enough into the world and you eventually meet yourself. Ancient Modern Expeditions are intimate immersions into landscapes, cultures, and ways of knowing that ask something real of the people who enter them — from the Ecuadorian Amazon and high Andes to the Mayan Yucatan, Nepal, Iceland, and Rapa Nui. We travel slowly and reverently, not to consume a place but to enter relationship with it: to practice presence, to practice reciprocity, and to come home carrying something that was never for sale.
MATERIA
Objects carry stories, plants carry intelligence, and exchange itself carries energy — which is why Materia isn't built like a typical marketplace. It's a living exchange of extraordinary foods, plants, ritual objects, and creations, sourced through direct relationship with the people and places they come from. The relationship doesn't end at checkout: every maker, customer, and community that touches Materia becomes part of a larger circulation of resources, knowledge, and opportunity that keeps moving long after a purchase is made.
